It has been two weeks since our Leila Skye was born. We are truly happy as we can be!
We wanted to keep updating this on a regular basis but now that we are busy parents we realize that 'regular' means something different to us now.
So here is a summary of how her life has been so far...
Labor started quick on Tuesday morning at 5:30. Rachel woke up with a pain that wouldn't go away. Fearing something was wrong, we rushed to the hospitial without any of our belongings thinking that we would be back in a few hours. When we got to the hospital they admitted her immediatly and her doctor said it was going to happen. Rachel's mom got on a plane from LA and made it up by 3 PM.
Leila Skye was born to Rachel and Amir on June 7 at 1:22 AM. She was 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 1/2 in long.
Here she is minutes after seeing the light. Crying while getting cleaned.
The proud mamma! Looking very very tired!
The proud dada the following day. Not bad for our first night of little sleep.
The grandparents. Elaine (Rachel's mom), Gunilla (Amir's mom), Michel (Amir's dad), and Clive (Rachel's dad).

We sized her up to Bella. As you can see Leila is still smaller. Bella doesn't pay too much attention to her. She just gives us weird looks when she won't stop crying.
Leila had her first playdate with Hailey Stone, who is just 5 weeks older. They didn't even acknowledge one another, let alone play! :)
Uncle Karim came by for the weekend. It was his birthday. We just hung out and cooked some pretty great meals.

Hey proud parents! Great blog. In one of the shots I thought she looked just like Rache, then she goes and looks just like Amir in most of the others:) I love seeing how they change as time goes on. Eoin looks a lot like my dad right now actually.
Congrats again. Welcome to parenthood:) Kinda a rough start, but super fun.
