Kauai (September 6-17)
We enjoyed some R & R (with a few adventures thrown in) on the northshore of Kauai with Mama, Dada, Nana, Papa, CJ, and Jess. It was a lot of fun. I did a lot swimming in the ocean, some hiking, searching for shells, running around naked (which is the best!), and eating lots of tropical fruit and yummy fish. I even got to see some really neat wildlife, such as, Green Sea Turtles, a monk seal, and some tropical fish.

You are seeing Leila in her preferred vacation outfit.....the birthday suit. Getting her to wear or stay in a bathing suit was a challenge.

Eating lunch on the lanai.

Here I am building a seashell, coral, and sand fortress.

Relaxing at Queen's Bath

Mama, Dada, Papa, CJ, and Jess went on a 17 mile kayak trip down the NaPali coast. I couldn't go :( Instead, I stayed behind with Nana and went to the beach and made a beautiful seashell picture.

Catching some rays on Tunnels Beach (250 feet from our house). For you movie buffs, the northshore of Kauai is where films like King Kong, Jurassic Park, South Pacific, and many more were filmed.

Dada buried me in the sand.

Dancing in tide at sunset......naked.

Looking cute in my bikini.

Dada, Mama, and me on our hike up Hanakapa'i Trail. I hiked a little, but the terrain was a bit too dangerous.

Mama and Dada went to their friends Garrett and Stephanie's wedding on the other side of the island at the Grand Hyatt. They got to spend a night alone without me at the hotel, which, they say was a real treat because the hotel was so fancy!
At Kipuu Falls.
With Jess on the hike back from Kipuu Falls.
Bonfire night on the beach. I got to try S'mores for the first time......YUM!
This our house that we stayed in and our very touristy mini van.
Inside the wet cave where Dada, CJ, and Jess went swimming. It was very dark.
Here we are outside of the wet cave.
